COLLAGE Combine images
About this tool
This collage maker composes several photos into a single image directly in your browser. It is built around a handful of deliberate layouts; an even grid, a horizontal row, a vertical column, and two feature layouts that give one photo most of the space while the rest line up beside or below it; rather than free-form dragging; results come out aligned without fiddling.
You control the canvas dimensions, the spacing between photos, and the background color that shows through the gaps. That makes it as useful for a before-and-after comparison or a product option sheet as for a photo montage. Because the canvas size is yours to set, you can build the collage at the exact aspect ratio you plan to post it at instead of cropping afterwards.
How to use it
- Add two or more images; drop them on the upload area, browse or paste from the clipboard.
- Pick a layout: grid, row, column, feature-left or feature-top. Images appear in the order you added them.
- Set the canvas width and height for wherever the collage will end up, and change the spacing until the gaps look right.
- Choose a background color if you want visible borders between photos.
- Download as PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG.
Tips
- Building a side-by-side comparison? The row layout with a few pixels of spacing and a white background reads cleanest.
- Set the canvas to the aspect ratio of the destination; for example a square canvas for a feed post; so nothing gets cropped after upload.
- Mixing portrait and landscape photos? The feature layouts handle mixed orientations much better than the even grid.
FAQs
How many photos can I put in one collage?
As many as the layout can reasonably hold; the grid subdivides to fit what you add. In practice collages read best with two to nine photos; beyond that each photo gets too small to see.
Can I change the order of the photos?
Images appear in the order you add them. To change the order, remove the images and add them again in the sequence you want.
Can I make the collage a specific size, like 1080 × 1080?
Yes. Enter exact canvas dimensions and the layout fits itself to that canvas; useful for building directly at a social-media post size.
Do my photos get uploaded while making a collage?
No. The collage is composed on a canvas inside your browser; the photos never leave your device.
Can I keep editing the collage after downloading?
Yes. Open the downloaded collage in the advanced image editor to add text, draw or change colors.
