About this tool
Format conversion is usually about compatibility, not quality: an iPhone HEIC photo that a website refuses to accept, a WebP image a desktop app can't open, an SVG logo that needs to become a PNG for a document. This converter reads all the common image formats; including HEIC and AVIF when your browser can decode them; and exports PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG.
The conversions happen entirely on your device, which makes this a reasonable place to convert things like photographed IDs and documents that you'd rather not send to a random server to change a file extension.
How to use it
- Upload the image in whatever format it's in; HEIC, PNG, JPG, WebP, SVG, GIF, BMP or AVIF.

Tips
- Converting to JPG flattens transparency onto white; permanently. If the image has a transparent background you want to keep, choose PNG or WebP instead.
- Convert from the best original you have. Converting a heavily-compressed JPG into PNG makes a bigger file, not a better image.

How do I convert HEIC to JPG?
Upload the HEIC file and choose JPG in the download menu. If your browser can't decode a particular HEIC file, try Chrome or Edge on a recent OS; decoding support varies by platform.
Which target format should I pick?

Does converting lose quality?
PNG output is lossless. JPG and WebP re-encode the image. Repeated lossy conversions accumulate artifacts.
Can I convert SVG to PNG?
Yes; the SVG is rendered at its natural size and exported as pixels. This is the standard way to use a vector logo somewhere that only takes raster images.
Are files uploaded during conversion?
No. Decoding and re-encoding happen inside your browser; the converter works even offline once the page is loaded.
